Have you ever wondered how to manifest something on paper? Or how to use law of attraction? You’re not alone. Most people wish and want for things but wonder why they don’t come true.

I used to be confused about how to manifest something on paper. I wondered what I was doing wrong. It seemed like every time I got close to manifesting something, it fell apart. After some soul searching and meditation (I used to be a bit of hippie back in the day), I realized I had pushed away my ability to manifest something in the physical world by being so attached to just the idea of having it.

In this post, I will outline the steps you need to take, the benefits, how you can write a manifestation script, and much more.

Steps to write manifestations on paper or journal

8 Steps to write manifestations on paper: How do I write my manifestations?

1. Prepare the materials

Every good manifestation starts with good preparation. Even though you can simply start with a blank piece of paper, I recommend you to be more purposeful and make this a more meaningful activity.

For sure, you can choose to use a regular piece of white paper or something with lines, but I would recommend that you get yourself a small journal instead.

There is a lot more ownership when you get one, and of course, it looks so much better!

Now you’re just missing your favorite pen and you are good to start!

2. Make a list and narrow it down

At any point in time, we have many different needs and desires. This makes manifesting complicated if you do not have your mind set on a clear intention.

Not saying that you cannot manifest more than one thing at a time, but if you are a beginner, it is better to focus on one at a time, for example manifesting a move to another country.

To overcome this, I recommend making a list of all the things that you wish to manifest and narrowing it down to the one thing that you desire most.

If you are serious about manifesting the thing you want, you need to have clarity of thoughts, and being focused helps to do that.

3. Write down a sentence that represents your intention

You might have grand plans or the thing you are manifesting requires a fair bit of explaining, but this step forces you to be simple and to the point.

It puts things into perspective and simplifies the process for you.

Don’t worry about using perfect words. What you are trying to do here is to capture the main essence.

4. List the reasons why you want this

If you are iffy about what you want, there is almost zero chance of you succeeding.

Here, you have to be completely honest with yourself and write down all the reasons that you are trying to manifest this.

It will help you to develop all the positive feelings about your goal and put you in a space where you feel that you are actually having it already.

5. Start expanding your notes

Now that you have a clearer picture of what you want and why you want it, it is time to expand on the idea.

Here is where you get more specific.

Thinking about the sentence you came up with earlier, add in the pieces that makes it clearer.

For example, you may have written that you want to buy a new car so that you can cut down your commute to work.

In this case, you can add the following:

  • Make and model of the car
  • Year that it was produced
  • The color of the car
  • How the interior looks like
  • What features it should have
  • How will life be like when you are driving it?
  • How will you benefit from it besides cutting down your commute?

Be as specific as possible. You are now creating the ideal scene that you want, and the clearer it is, the better.

6. Writing down your affirmations

At this point, you should have a much better understanding of what you are seeking and that’s great!

In this step, you will be creating your own personal positive affirmations that will help instill the right mindset. You will start to rewrite all the negative thoughts that you have had and fill your powerful subconscious with positive ones instead.

Be sure to craft a sentence that aligns closely with your intentions and own it!

Using the example from above, my positive affirmation could look something like this:

“I am driving my blue Honda Civic every day, and I will use the time saved for my hobbies”.

Remember, this has to be personal to you, and you must believe in the statement entirely. Check out our post on new car affirmations for more inspiration.

7. Repetition is key

Manifesting does not work on a one-day basis. No way can you try to manifest something now and expect it to work without doing anything else.

Start a daily routine that includes reading out your affirmation. I personally stick to doing so each morning when I wake and just before I sleep.

It is really awesome to fill my mind with positive thoughts the moment I wake, and again right before I sleep.

Bring out your journal and read through the things you have written, and at the end of it, recite your affirmation aloud for 3-5 minutes, aiming to repeat the affirmation at least 10-15 times.

Some people find it effective to do it in front of a mirror, and it’s really up to you.

Lots of our readers have also commented to me that using affirmation cards has helped them tremendously too.

8. Visualize your end goal

Imagination and visualization are important components to creating that which you desire.

The Law of Attraction says: “that which you resist, persists”. This saying signifies that what you focus on expands and grows in alignment with the vibration of thought.

The Universe will mirror back to you that which you are giving your attention to.

Manage your thoughts and energy, let go of what no longer serves a purpose and be patient for the manifestation to occur.

I advise you to do this in a quiet place and turn off all possible distractions for it to be most effective.

Benefits of manifesting on paper

Benefits of manifesting on paper

Manifesting on paper is a simple, yet effective way of creating your life.

By writing down what you want, you are taking action to create the life you want to live.

This practice also helps to clarify your desires and goals, as well as allows you to see how they fit into the bigger picture of your life.

Here are five benefits of manifesting on paper:

1. It allows for greater clarity about what you want in life

When you write down what you want, it makes it much easier to stay focused on what matters most.

If you’re not sure of the exact words or phrasing you need, don’t worry. Just start writing whatever comes to mind. When you put pen to paper, the words will flow through you effortlessly and naturally.

Once the ideas start flowing freely, they will start forming words and sentences that will help clarify exactly what you want in your life.

2. It helps you identify which desires are most important

Going through the steps I described above can help you to put more meaning to the things that you want.

Sometimes in life, it is easy to get overwhelmed and desire many things at once, but writing a list and narrowing it down makes you realize what is most important to you.

3. More effective visualization

Visualization is one of the most powerful tools you can use to create your reality.

It’s a way of mentally rehearsing an event before it happens, which makes it more likely to come true.

Visualization works in conjunction with other techniques such as the mirror technique and affirmations, but it’s also very useful on its own.

In fact, some people go so far as to say that it’s impossible to manifest without first visualizing what you want.

When you write down what you want to manifest and read off your journal, you are able to form a mental picture even more accurately.

4. Be accountable

Being accountable is an important part of manifesting anything.

For some, you are able to hold yourself up to what you need to do, while some others might need some extra motivation to do that.

By writing down your manifestation goals and referring back to them daily, you are able to be more responsible and in a way, it’s like an invisible voice that reminds you of what you need to do.

In fact, you could even extend that by sharing what you are doing with a close friend or family member. There’s no backing out when you do that!

What makes a good manifestation script

In order to maximize the effectiveness of your manifestation script that you are writing in your journal, I have a few tips that might help you out.

Obviously, it has to be written with your intentions in mind. That means it should be coming from an honest place and it should be something that you want for yourself.

And it needs to feel authentic and genuine. If you’re writing something that feels forced or fake, then you can bet the Universe will know and it won’t work.

Write it in the present tense

It should be written in the present tense as if it has already happened (e.g., I have _ or I am ). If you write it in the future tense, you may start to visualize what it will be like once you have gotten what you want, which can be distracting and make it harder for you to focus on what’s happening now (e.g., When I get X, then my life will be perfect).

Focus on one thing at a time

It should include only one thing that you want at a time. If you have several things that you want to manifest at once, it is best to think about them separately and make separate manifestation scripts for each one (or write different ones for each).

You can also write one script with multiple elements in it if they are related in some way—for example, if there are two things that go together very well and would benefit the overall goal.

Be descriptive

As I mentioned in the earlier sections, you should try to be as detailed as possible after determining your reasons for wanting this outcome.

Use words that describe your emotions during the journey and when you achieve what you want.

All of these are helpful in creating the best possible ideal for you and make visualization much easier.

Be realistic

I have read in some places that you can manifest anything you want, even becoming a billionaire! Wow, that someone must be really optimistic, or simply misguided.

Sure, the Universe wants to give you what you want, but going from crawling to becoming an Olympic sprinter does not happen overnight.

You will go through phases to get there, and when you manifest, you should aim to reach the next milestone first rather than going for the stars from the get-go.

If I had no money now, I would be manifesting my first $10,000, rather than say that I am a billionaire.

Is it better to manifest on paper?

Manifesting on paper is a great way to keep your vision clear and focused.

This is where you can write down all the things you want to manifest and then burn it, bury it or otherwise destroy it.

This way, you are letting go of all the negative energy associated with wanting these things to come into your life.

You want to focus on being grateful for what is present in your life at this very moment.

Then once you have the list of what you want in your life, start writing out those intentions and putting them into the Universe.

One thing I do when writing my intentions is that I put them in a bottle and then throw them out into the ocean or lake where I live.

This helps me feel like they are going directly to the Universe without any interference from myself or other people who might try to mess up my intentions by either stealing my paper or reading over them before they get sent off!

So yes, it’s totally fine if you want to manifest on paper!

It helps keep things organized and focused so that you can find peace within yourself and truly believe that you deserve whatever it is that you’re asking for from the Universe.

Additional tips for manifesting on paper

  • Place your manifestation journal/paper under your pillow and before you go to sleep, you visualize your desired outcome. This is called the Pillow method.
  • Try out the 55×5 manifestation method. You then write your affirmation 55 times for 5 days straight.
  • Try the 333 method. This method requires you to write your affirmation 33 times for 3 days in a row.
  • Try the 369 technique. Write your affirmation 3 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon, and 9 times at night.
  • Don’t be attached to the outcome. You simply let go and allow the Universe to do its thing. It may sound counter-intuitive but it is the way to let the Universe manifest in ways that are aligned with your highest good.
  • Write down your words of gratitude in your journal. Be thankful for what you have and appreciate everything in your life, no matter how small it seems.
  • Feel like you have seen signs of your manifestation working? Write them down too. These are ways that the Universe is communicating to you, and they can be strong motivations for you to keep doing what you are doing.

In conclusion: How to Manifest Something on Paper?

Do any of these exercises seem far-fetched or even impossible?

While it’s true that you can’t directly control everything, you can exercise your ability to manifest things on paper in a way that feels satisfying and rewarding.

And sometimes the best route to getting what you want is taking a closer look at those things you have that are already in your life and trying to get clear on what will make them better.

Mapping out your goals in black and white helps you visualize your future.

It makes it seem more concrete.

Whatever the outcome may be, you can’t help but feel better about yourself, knowing that all of your efforts are leading to a better, brighter future.
