In this post, I will share with you what you need to do to increase your chances of getting pregnant using time-tested techniques, and they work equally even if you are trying to manifest a rainbow baby.

1. Write down exactly what you want to manifest

The first step is to write down exactly what you want to achieve and list your reasons. Start with the following questions:

  • What do I want?
  • Why do I want it?
  • When do I want it?
  • How will I feel when I get it?

Now that you have an idea of what, why, and when you want something, you can begin to address how and when you will celebrate getting these things.

If you’re trying to manifest pregnancy, you need to know exactly what kind of pregnancy and birth experience you’re looking for. Are you hoping for a natural birth? Do you want to give birth in water? Do you prefer an out-of-hospital experience or an in-hospital one (or both)?

What’s most important here is that when it comes time to manifest your pregnancy, it’s key that your intentions are clear—and the best way I’ve found is by writing them down on paper.

In fact, this is how many other women got started with manifesting their own pregnancies.

You write down all your intentions as if they were already here (even when they weren’t yet).

Be as specific as you can be, listing down every emotion and thoughts you have of the ideal outcome.

To start off, you can visualize yourself pregnant. Visualization is a form of meditation in which you imagine what it would feel like to be pregnant.

Visualize yourself in the future, carrying your baby and enjoying your pregnancy. Imagine how you would feel when you find out that you are pregnant.

It’s important to be as specific as possible with your visualization, which is why the first step above is so important. It lays out all the details you need.

For example, if you want to be pregnant with a boy, visualize yourself at the doctor’s office when they tell you that it’s a boy.

If you want to have twins, visualize holding two babies in your arms at the hospital when they are born. Every detail counts!

3. Speak your desires into existence by reciting affirmations every single day

Practicing gratitude helps to shift your vibration and attract what you desire into your life more quickly.

It also opens up your heart chakra so that love may flow more freely through you.

Here is my tip on how you can practice gratitude daily:

Keep a gratitude journal – Write down three things that happened each day that made you feel grateful or happy, no matter how big or small they may seem at the time.

This can be said to be the most difficult step but this is so important!

When you let go of your desire for something, you allow it to come into your life.

If you keep worrying about whether or not it will happen, it won’t happen because your thoughts are blocking its path!

The Universe will bring you exactly what you need at exactly the right time as long as you are open to receiving it (which means letting go of your attachment to specific outcomes).

The Universe knows exactly what you need, even if it doesn’t seem like it at the moment. So trust that things will work out for your highest good, even if they don’t look perfect right now.

Instead, focus on being in the present and being happy.

When you focus on what you want and why it would be beneficial for your life, everything else will fall into place around it.

If you’re not sure what that looks like or how to find it, then start by asking yourself questions like “What makes me happy? What would make me feel fulfilled right now? What do I love about being a mother?”

Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and exhale through your mouth while counting to ten.

Focus on the sensation of breathing in and out of your nostrils until it feels natural again.

Now imagine holding a beautiful baby or toddler in one hand and some positive thoughts about love and family in the other hand (or just think of something positive).

Think about how good it feels when someone holds you like that—how safe, loved, supported and happy you feel when someone gives themselves over to loving another person with all their heart.

Is there any truth in it? I bet science will disagree, but in my opinion, there is really no harm in trying. You should be having sex regularly anyway, so why not on a full moon too?

On top of that, you can also try out the techniques above and even include crystals as part of your routine. Crystals are said to have energizing and healing powers that can help you out.

Visualization techniques

I’m sure there are many techniques out there that are being discussed, but for me, I just wanted to share what I know and have used effectively before, which is the use of a vision board.

Create a vision board and look at it every day

To create a vision board, start by collecting images that make you feel happy, relaxed, and excited about motherhood.

These can be photos of children or families, gushing magazine articles about pregnancy and childbirth, or just anything that makes you think “I can’t wait to have a baby!”

It’s also important to include images of the kind of carefree time you’ll have as a new parent: picnics with friends and family; taking walks in parks together; bonding with your child over books…and so on.

Next up: put all those images into one place—a scrapbook or photo album works great!—and take some time to really look at them every day.

You can also include written notes of vision board affirmations. A combination of pictures and words always works very well for me.

When it comes time for an ultrasound scan during the first trimester of pregnancy (around 11 weeks), bring along your vision board as visual proof that what you want really does exist out there somewhere!
